Executive Coaching / Management Development
At different times in the course of our professional lives we can benefit from coaching. At work employees are rewarded for good performance with added responsibility and promotions. Sometimes when feeling ready for a new challenge we look for new positions in different organizational settings where our talents can be put to better use. However, feeling qualified and confident to fill the new role doesn't always happen automatically. In these situations having an executive coach to help develop management competencies or to improve the skills a manager has is advantageous and builds commitment and loyalty to the organization.
The benefits that result from developing your managers and executives come in many ways. Current research shows that executive coaching and management development has a return on investment of 500% through salvaging the wasted expense of unproductive and ineffective management performance.
Whether for the newly hired manager or the internally promoted manager, coaching is an asset that builds competitive advantage and greater staff satisfaction.
Turning Points has designed its own coaching and management development program. We provide a 10 session program that is delivered in one-on-one coaching sessions. The program is divided into two sections, the first is a managerial assessment and the second is driven by the manager to cover all areas of need. These sessions are designed to provide a safe and empowering forum for your managers to assess their own managerial strengths and weaknesses and to surface any areas in which they may need help.
The process covers a variety of management needs such as:
- assessment of required skills and strengths as per job description
- alignment with organizational objectives and mission
- management style and its impact on the organizational culture
- time management and setting priorities
- performance evaluation linked to performance improvement
- team building and self management of work groups
- effective communication skills and constructive feedback
- conflict management
- developing incentive programs for staff
- stress management
- systems thinking and strategic planning
